How we engage and deliver
To help us shape best practice for the firm, we established an ESG Advisory Group, which brings together industry experts and Qualitas representatives to provide guidance around ESG related, strategy, policies and governance practices, as well as risks and opportunities.

Our commitments
We are a signatory to United Nations supported Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) and its six principles of responsible investment, which align with our core ESG beliefs.
Community and social impact
We support youth homelessness, mental health and children's health through partnerships with the Property Industry Foundation, Lighthouse Foundation, batyr and Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation.
Our employees actively engage year-round through fundraising, awareness activities, and using their annual volunteer leave day for community initiatives.
Youth homelessness
Qualitas has a long-term partnership with the Property Industry Foundation and has been actively involved with the Lighthouse Foundation, working with both to support their work to combat youth homelessness.
Our team members have participated in working bees helping to transform Lighthouse Foundation home gardens in Heathcote and Springvale and joining the Property Industry Foundation's Steps for Homeless Youth event for the fourth consecutive year.
Mental health
To further extend our support around mental health awareness, we entered a corporate partnership with batyr, an organisation that specialises in addressing mental ill-health and sharing lived experiences to provide hope to young people going through tough times.
Activities have ranged from batyr's 'Splash the Stigma' fundraiser to a Mental Health Month session where a lived experience speaker shared the daily impact of their programs.
Children’s health
Since 2025 the firm has sponsored the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation, established by Berrick Wilson (who joined Qualitas in 2024) to raise awareness and money for Monash Children's Hospital's Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Units.
In 2025, Scott Carver and Ben Hays joined 28 Melbourne riders cycling 1,000km across New Zealand's South Island over seven days, raising $30,000 for Monash Children's Hospital. In 2026 – the Foundation's 20th anniversary – Berrick Wilson and Matt Barca cycled 1,000km from Sydney to Melbourne, helping their team raise over $200,000.
Reconciliation
Building on our successful Reflect RAP, we launched our two-year Innovate RAP in January 2025. Our RAP working group, comprising diverse business representatives and Pallyan Hunter, a proud Wurundjeri man, governs our Innovate RAP initiatives and supports engagement with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
Cultural learning activities included a Welcome to Country for our new Melbourne office opening and participation in National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week events celebrating First Nations cultures and resilience.
Reconciliation action plan
Our Innovate RAP represents a significant commitment in our ongoing journey to create meaningful change, advance reconciliation and drive towards a better Australia that is inclusive of all Australians.
